Software Security Engineer – Tucson, AZ
Location:
Tucson, Arizona. Onsite work required. Salary range USD 68,900 – 131,100.
Security clearance: U.S. citizenship required, interim Secret clearance prior to start date. DoD Clearance:
Secret.
- Design, develop, integrate, and test real‑time missile software applications.
- Apply system security principles to software design and implementation.
- Develop software using C and C++ on a variety of computing platforms.
- Understand real‑time software design and performance implications of system security implementations.
- Collaborate with the Systems Security Engineering team to define and implement requirements.
- Support program ability to leverage specific capabilities in a common development environment.
- Interface with customer community to review technical design and support verification of system maturity.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
- At least 2 years of relevant software experience.
- Experience with C/C++.
- Experience in Agile or similar development environment.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
- Eligibility for and ability to obtain and maintain interim Secret U.S. security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience validating and verifying software applications.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience interfacing with FPGAs, low‑level memory drivers, inter‑processor communication, ARM architecture.
- Secure boot concepts, cryptographic algorithms.
- Experience with Xilinx Ultra Scale+ MPSoC, Versal, or similar embedded processors.
- Experience with VxWorks, Embedded Linux, or other embedded OS.
- Embedded Software Security experience.
- Designing, implementing, testing, or fielding real‑time security‑oriented solutions on DoD programs.
- Experience with Kanban frameworks.
- Experience using software configuration management and bug tracking tools.
