Lead AI Engineer

This is a senior builder role for someone who can own the full technical execution of AI solutions on client engagements. You will build production-grade applications, manage data pipelines, host and deploy working solutions, and connect systems that clients depend on daily.

You will work alongside an AI Strategy Lead who defines the roadmap and requirements. Your job is to translate those requirements into architecture, build it, and make sure it runs reliably. You are the person who can look at a scoped deliverable and know exactly how to build it, and when the scope needs to change.

• Build and deploy AI-powered workflows, agents, and applications for client engagements
• Use Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools as a core part of your build workflow
• Connect and integrate CRMs (Salesforce, Hub Spot), data warehouses, communication tools, and AI platforms
• Host and deploy solutions that clients can access and use in production, not just hand off code files
• Handle ETL processes, database management, and data transformations as part of building complete solutions
• Collaborate with the Strategy Lead to pressure-test feasibility and refine technical requirements before building
• Document solutions with enough clarity that the team and client can maintain them

• 3 to 6 years of experience building applications, automations, workflows, or internal tools
• Active, daily use of Claude Code or a comparable AI-assisted development tool as part of your workflow
• Experience with APIs, webhooks, and system integrations at a level beyond basic connectors
• Hands-on experience with LLMs in production workflows, including prompt engineering, API integrations, and agent design
• Familiarity with hosting and deploying web applications or services (not just running scripts locally)
• Experience with ETL, database management, or data pipeline work
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where requirements evolve
• Experience with the go-to-market tech stack:
  Salesforce, Hub Spot, Gong, Outreach, or similar platforms
• Experience building for external clients or stakeholders, not just internal teams
• Familiarity with vector databases, RAG architectures, or AI agent frameworks
• History of running your own consulting practice, freelance engineering work, or building products independently

• Background in web application development
• Experience working within a consulting or agency delivery model

• A purist who avoids AI-assisted development tools because they prefer doing everything the traditional way
• Someone who needs enterprise-grade planning and six-month timelines before shipping
• A machine learning researcher. This is a Generative AI role, not a model training role.
• A candidate whose AI experience is limited to using ChatGPT for emails and content
