Principal Systems Engineer – Signal & Sensor Modeling Engineer
Location:
Tucson, AZ (US-AZ-TUCSON-9020) – Onsite. U.S. citizenship required; interim Secret U.S. government security clearance required prior to start, with ability to obtain special program access thereafter.

What You Will Do- Champion novel solutions for advanced modeling techniques.
- Develop new C++ models in an extensible and maintainable fashion.
- Deploy EO or RF phenomenology and advanced physics principles in software implementations.
- Enable customers’ success through adoption and utilization of modeling solutions.
- Work efficiently inside an established software product across programming languages and build environments.
- Research and develop novel EO or RF modeling solutions.
- Coordinate with multiple development teams to prioritize and solve complex software and physics problems.
- Mentor and share EO or RF expertise with the team.
- Mandatory
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience applying object-oriented software design in C++, C, and using MATLAB or Python for data set evaluation.
- Proficiency with UNIX/Linux, Apple OS, or Windows command line environments.
- Background in electro‑optics or radar processing, imaging EO/IR/RF systems, energy transport, radar physics, signal processing, and/or discrimination algorithms.
- Ability to obtain an Interim Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required.
- Preferred
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related STEM discipline.
- Experience with OpenGL, CUDA, or other GPU‑accelerated languages/architectures and scene generation/sensor‑modeling technologies.
- Experience in electronic warfare modeling, missile‑related signal‑processing algorithms, signal & image processing, digital communications, estimation theory, AI/ML, and training techniques.
- Experience with real‑time programming, software change‑management tools and processes, build systems (Make/CMake), and large production software environments.
- Experience interfacing with adjacent engineering disciplines (Signal Processing, Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering).
- Competitive salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD.
