Position:
Senior Embedded Software Engineer – onsite in Tucson, AZ.
Required:
U.S. citizen with ability to obtain Secret clearance. This role is part of the Effectors Center of the Software organization.
- Architect, design, implement, test, and debug integrated embedded real‑time software within heterogeneous systems composed of firmware and hardware.
- Work with cross‑discipline teams to define, refine, and improve product concepts, implementation, testability, and quality.
- Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.
- Contribute to proposals, preliminary and critical design reviews.
- Obtain and maintain program access and required security clearance.
Work across a product line in collaboration with multiple teams, deepening your understanding of embedded systems architecture.
Qualifications – Must Have- Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in at least two of the following areas:
Embedded C++ Software, Embedded Software Security, Software Architecture Design and Implementation. - Experience with embedded Real‑Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, Linux, etc.
- Experience developing complex systems that integrate hardware, firmware, and software.
- Ability to obtain Interim Secret Level U.S. government‑issued security clearance before start date and continue to maintain program access thereafter.
- Familiarity with reading electrical schematics and relating them to software function.
- Familiarity with reading firmware source like VHDL or Verilog.
- Knowledge of assembly language for at least one processor/controller family.
- Experience with lab instruments such as power supplies, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Experience developing device drivers for bare‑metal or OS applications.

SalaryEstimated range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD, based on experience, education, and skill level.
