Senior Test Automation Tools Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Automation Tools Developer to design, develop, and maintain advanced test automation frameworks and tools that support quality assurance activities across embedded systems, firmware, software, and hardware platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in embedded firmware testing environments, automation tool development, and PC-to-controller communication technologies.

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain test automation tools and frameworks used in Quality Assurance testing activities.
• Develop and support embedded firmware test automation environments.
• Build and maintain automation solutions for validating interactions between firmware, software, and hardware systems.
• Develop and optimize tools for test execution, configuration management, result analysis, and data logging.
• Create and maintain drivers enabling communication between PCs and embedded controllers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and product quality.
• Integrate automation solutions with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and delivery.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing automation infrastructure and testing tools.
• Contribute to process improvements and leverage emerging technologies, including AI-driven testing efficiencies.

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience developing test automation tools for Quality Assurance environments.
• Strong programming expertise in:
  Python, Java, C#, C++,
  
  C.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining embedded firmware test automation environments.
• Hands-on experience with PC-to-controller embedded firmware driver development (Must Have).
• Experience developing and supporting:
  Java-based GUI applications, test configuration and execution tools, C++-based DLLs and utility applications, communication drivers for controller interaction, data logging and test result analysis systems.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of hardware, firmware, and software integration testing.
• Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD integrations for automated testing.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Experience using Git-based version control systems.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working with irrigation systems, controllers, or related products.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Git Lab, Zephyr.
• Knowledge of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodologies.
• Experience with end-to-end automation involving hardware, firmware, and software integration.
• Experience leveraging AI and intelligent automation techniques to improve testing efficiency and quality.
