Test Equipment Engineering is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. Typical work involves designing interface assemblies, selection and integration with test instruments and environments, to develop a test system for all Raytheon products.
These core activities may be performed for both lab engineering and factory production test systems. The candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development and will be responsible for helping to maintain the technical, cost and schedule aspects of their assigned projects. They will be expected to act, either as a part of their team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products.
What You Will Do
- Develop and integrate object-oriented software applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio
- Troubleshoot and debug software to ensure functionality and reliability
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop and implement solutions
- Work within established software development life cycles, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Develop and derive requirements for software applications and systems
Qualifications You Must Have
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in an applicable discipline and actively enrolled through completion of the internship / co-op session.
- Experience with software development, testing, or integration using C, C++, Python, or Visual Basic
- Experience with Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Visual Studio
Qualifications We Prefer
- Basic understanding of software development principles and object-oriented design
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment
- Experience with Agile or Waterfall development life cycles
