The United States Border Patrol (USBP) is the mobile, uniformed law enforcement organization that operates under the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Southwest Field Office requires highly qualified subject matter experts to provide essential support for logistics, asset management, property management, and warehouse operations. Candidates will maintain necessary technical, supervisory, and administrative personnel in accordance with the delivery schedule and deliver logistics and warehouse support services—including warehouse logistics operations, property management, asset management, deployment and sustainment, and solutions engineering support.
Responsibilities- Logistics and Warehouse Operations:
- Responsible for an extensive array of warehouse logistics operations including receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment.
- Oversee coordination of shipments, monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and excesses, and adhere to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Set up and tear down designated events, ensuring all logistical and operational requirements are met for seamless event execution.
- Perform minor facility enhancements and improvements to maintain the Technology Support Warehouse environment.
- Inspect and verify completion of facility work orders, ensuring tasks related to maintenance, repair, and enhancement meet established standards.
- Assist with inventorying program-specific equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation, and support inventorying of equipment designated for disposition.
- Complete monthly Health and Safety Inspection Sheets, document safety checks, and update the UTOC Health and Safety Teams page with accurate records.
- Fleet Management:
Oversee daily fleet operations, process fuel and maintenance invoices in SAP, maintain fleet folders, ensure vehicle readiness through inspections, cleanliness, and fueling, prepare vehicles for disposition, coordinate with San Angelo on fleet usage and repairs, and transport government vehicles for maintenance, repairs, and deployment. - Oversee and manage all fleet-related administrative tasks, including the review and processing of fuel and maintenance service invoices through SAP and maintain comprehensive records for operational and compliance purposes.
- Transport government-owned vehicles from various sectors/locations upon arrival of new program assets and new fleet, and ensure timely transportation of deployment vehicles to designated outlying areas.
- Property Management Support:
- Assume and execute responsibilities of a Local Property Officer (LPO) within the SAP system, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies, maintaining accurate records, and overseeing proper handling and accountability of assets throughout their lifecycle.
- Assist as needed with delivering comprehensive asset management support services, including accountability across all phases of the asset lifecycle—acquisition, maintenance, and disposition.
- Assist in overseeing and managing deployment and sustainment activities, ensuring tasks align with established requirements, industry standards, and programmatic objectives.
- Additional duties may include escort duties, cargo security, inventory and disposition, forklift support, and vehicle transportation.
- Flexible work schedule: contractor must be available for occasional weekends to fulfill mission requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- A valid driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a DHS Customs and Border Protection Background Investigation.
- Must be available to travel for this position.
