The Distillation Equipment Operator will work as part of a team to provide superior service and stakeholder satisfaction through responsibility for the safe and efficient operation and preservation of equipment utilized for the purpose of tasks related to Glycol Recovery Vehicles and processing, while ensuring the well-being of self and all internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Monitor glycol processing equipment units to assure optimum production and efficiency
- Maintain glycol processing equipment as per Inland’s maintenance manuals and SOP’s in order to perform any and all maintenance functions as directed by management
- Complete and distribute daily glycol processing equipment production reports neatly and accurately
- Perform quality assurance sampling of all production processes at regular intervals during shifts, by using correct sampling protocol as established by Inland SOP’s
- Complete necessary repairs when needed on a timely basis such as; replacing parts, blowers, plumbing new lines and re-plumbing old lines, installing valves, meters, sensors, etc.
Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word and Excel);
Ability to work independently showing good judgement;
Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively;
Ability to interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals;
Ability to safely operate a motorized vehicle in inclement weather;
General mechanical competence and ability to effectively use hand tools;
Ability to maintain a positive and good-natured attitude;
Must be comfortable working at various heights;
Ability to remain calm and perform under pressure and within fixed time constraints; A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
