Pay Range: $17.04 – $23.02 per hour
Hiring Range: $17.04 – $20.03 per hour
Responsibilities- Collect, distribute, and manage incoming and outgoing mail.
- Ensure prompt and accurate delivery of mail and inter‑departmental communications.
- Pickup, sort, and bundle mail to conform with postal regulations.
- Operate postal scales, metering machines, hand trucks, and push carts.
- Lift and move heavy mail bags and packages; handle heavy mail totes and boxes.
- Keep daily records of mail costs and postage meter transactions.
- Provide information regarding postal rates and general procedures to other departments.
- Drive the county van to perform routine mail runs and occasional collection of mail from the Post Office.
- Perform general maintenance of postal machinery.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Operate mail measuring and sealing equipment.
- Carry out routine inspections of equipment.
- Provide customer service to other departments and the public.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Valid Arizona Class D driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in mail services operations.
- Experience using postage‑metering equipment and sorting mail.
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
- Experience with email and basic Excel usage (minimum 1 year).
- Experience with alphabetic and numeric filing (minimum 1 year).
- Move and lift heavy materials.
- Drive a motor vehicle; vision may be required.
- Valid driver license (Class D AZ) required at time of application and appointment.
- Subject to 39‑month DOT motor vehicle record review.
