Job Overview

Join Our Team as a Warehouse Clerk s role involves executing warehousing activities involved in shipping and receiving goods in and out of Epiroc warehouses, ensuring accurate and seamless reception, storage, packing, order picking, and shipping of components and parts.

Shift Timings: 40 hours a week. Split shift – Mon.

- Thurs. 10:00 am - 8:00 pm (9 hrs + 1 hr lunch);
Friday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (4 hrs)

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate powered industrial lift truck to transport inventory, unload inbound trucks and load outbound trucks.
  • Pull and stage orders for shipment; replenish and restock approved inbound shipments into their proper locations.
  • Ensure packaging, pallets and shelving units are in good working condition to handle loads being stocked.
  • Unpack, verify and record incoming shipments; ensure received material complies with purchase orders regarding identification, type, quantities, part numbers, etc.
  • Visually inspect goods or materials received for damage from handling and transit. Process damage reports in accordance with procedures and notify supervisor when products are damaged to coordinate freight damage claims.
  • Input receiving documentation into the related computer system.
  • Remove, recycle and dispose of unneeded packing materials.
  • Pick orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
  • Pick and issue parts required for production as per work order picking list.
  • Visually inspect all products prior to completing orders.
  • Weigh completed orders and record product weights prior to packaging.
  • Package outgoing shipments as required.
  • Move products safely using forklift, pallet jack or dock loader.
  • Perform daily inspection of forklift prior to use. Record results of inspection as outlined and report any malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Maintain the work area in a neat, clean, and orderly condition.
  • Rotate stock as needed.
  • Comply with the organization's environmental, health & safety, recycling, sustainability efforts and quality assurance policies and standards.
  • Monitor equipment and report any problems or deficiencies to supervisor.
  • Cycle Count functions – conduct, support and maintain.
  • Nonconformance and scrapping functions.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies; perform internal inventory maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all orders, receiving documents, maintenance records and warehouse reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting and knowledge of safe lifting methods.
  • Ability to weigh and measure items.
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Focused on continuous improvement – there is always a better way!
Education & Experience Knowledge
  • Minimum two years working in material handling or similar warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge of filling out waybills and bills of landing.
  • Computer literacy, including working skills of MS Office.
Formal Education Requirement
  • Minimum High School/GED Diploma.
  • Certified forklift operating license is an asset.
