Warehouse Manager I
Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the efficient flow of materials and products within the University of Arizona Campus Store. This role manages receiving, backstock, and distribution operations to ensure accurate and timely movement of inventory across the main warehouse and satellite locations. The position involves executing and maintaining complex work procedures, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring the accuracy of incoming and outgoing items through established controls and system processes.
The Warehouse Manager supervises, schedules, and trains receiving and backstock student employees, supporting consistent performance, safety compliance, and operational reliability. This role works closely with cross‑functional teams to support store operations, resolve inventory discrepancies, and continuously improve warehouse processes to meet seasonal volume demands and business needs.

Duties & Responsibilities- Manage warehouse inventory, backstock organization, and space utilization to support efficient product flow across the Campus Store and satellite locations.
- Maintain an organized backstock environment to enable timely replenishment of apparel and gift merchandise to the sales floor.
- Plan storage layouts and determine appropriate storage methods and locations based on product characteristics, turnover, and seasonal demand.
- Ensure inventory is secured and protected against loss, damage, or misplacement.
- Maintain accuracy of backstock location data and ensure all personnel interacting with inventory systems are properly trained.
- Track and analyze inventory data using Net Suite and other warehouse systems; generate daily and periodic reports to monitor inventory accuracy, workflow efficiency, and student KPIs.
- Supervise, schedule, and train stocking, backstock, and receiving student employees; ensure consistent adherence to approved procedures.
- Coordinate receiving of general merchandise, textbooks, and trade books, including review and processing of purchase orders and transfers.
- Utilize RF‑Smart and Net Suite to track inventory movements and maintain accurate system transactions.
- Communicate with buyers and internal partners to resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and receiving issues.
- Monitor receiving performance; identify trends, address root causes, and implement process improvements.
- Ensure safe operation of material handling equipment and compliance with university policies and safety standards.
- Support General Merchandise operations by stocking the sales floor to maintain a functional, organized, and customer‑ready environment.
- Lead and coordinate student employees to ensure apparel and merchandise are consistently replenished; schedule and train all teams.
- Provide after‑hours and special‑event stocking support as needed, coordinating with buyers on priority items and strategies.
- Coordinate acceptance and recording of inbound deliveries at the loading dock; document delivery issues and communicate with receiving and delivery companies.
- Ensure outbound shipments are properly prepared, scheduled, and picked up, reporting any discrepancies.
- Maintain a secure, clean, and organized dock; manage dock space for optimal staging and workflow.
- Operate University vehicles, including golf carts, trucks and minivans, to transport products safely across all store locations.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
