Yard Technician

Job Description

This position requires the preparation, assembly, loading and unloading of traffic control equipment for delivery to various jobsites.

• Proper maintenance of equipment.
• Able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Organize and maintain warehouse and yard.
• Loading and unloading a company vehicle.
• Ability to read and understand computer generated pick tickets.
• General housekeeping.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently over a 10‑hour shift.
• Able to work outside in extreme weather conditions for the duration of the shift.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to use simple hand tools.

• Hours of operation may vary based on staffing needs and workload.
• Typical workweek 50 hours.
• Majority of time will be in the field.
• The position may work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, not limited to heat, cold, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
• Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving vehicles, and various extreme conditions at construction job sites.
• Noise levels in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
• Position may lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds.
• If necessary, in the field, stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions; employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects.

Hourly pay range $16.00 - $16.50 based on experience.
