About This RoleAs Technical Accounting Manager, you will serve as a trusted technical accounting resource supporting a diverse portfolio of businesses and complex organizational structures. You’ll partner closely with finance, property management, operations, leadership, and external auditors to ensure accurate, compliant financial reporting that supports continued growth.
Responsibilities- Research, analyze, and provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions, including acquisitions, debt restructurings, and equity financing activities.
- Serve as the process owner for key accounting functions while identifying opportunities to strengthen efficiency and consistency.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal controls.
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Analyze financial results, investigate significant variances, and communicate findings to business partners.
- Prepare monthly internal financial statements and lead assigned portions of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
- Support the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including footnote disclosures and year‑end audit activities.
- Prepare financial reporting packages for third‑party lenders and business partners.
- Partner with Property Management, Finance, and Operations on annual budgeting, tenant reconciliations, and special projects.
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting systems, internal controls, and business processes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement while supporting Sabey’s adoption of AI and emerging technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related field.
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
- Advanced knowledge of full‑cycle accounting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project‑management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Detail‑oriented with exceptional accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Self‑directed with the ability to work independently.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
- Interest in leveraging AI tools and technology to improve accounting processes.
- CPA and/or CMA certification.
- Experience with Yardi or comparable accounting software.
- Experience supporting complex organizational structures or multi‑entity environments.

Anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $95,335 – $143,003.
