The (HYBRID) Video Production Specialist II assists and manages multimedia projects from concept development to final editing.
The Video Production Specialist II ensures projects meet the needs of the continuously evolving business areas by developing and implementing an intimate understanding of our brand message and tone in video and photo forms.
This role collaborates with senior Multimedia members and contributes to the overall design and production of diverse creative assets.
The Video Production Specialist II works closely with our Communications, Customer Experience, New Hire and Onboarding, Leadership Development teams.
For our corporate team members, whether you work in a hybrid schedule at our Houston Bed Quarters (BQ) or are fully remote, we trust you with the freedom to decide how best to contribute and collaborate in your role.
This hybrid role will report to the Bed Quarters location in Houston, TX on average 4 times per month and may work remotely the remainder of the time.
Essential Responsibilities- Capture studio-quality video both on location and in the office as projects dictate.
- Shoot and edit content to build a library of product videos, corporate communications videos, hiring videos, and/or case study videos as well as consumer facing videos.
- Work with senior Multimedia and Communications team members to set up for shoots, encompassing lighting, camera angles, placement and type of microphone, and positioning of individuals on camera (if appropriate).
- Create 2D animations, motion graphics, logos and other animation support for video projects.
- Handle overflow editing of projects in Adobe Premiere.
- Work closely with senior Multimedia members to support internal live streaming events.
- Provide and receive relevant and timely production feedback to different levels of leadership with confidence, to meet the technical and creative standards during the video production process.
- Collaborate regularly with teammates and senior Multimedia members to ensure deadlines and messaging expectations are being met.
- Develop an intimate understanding of our brand message and tone to accurately capture in video and photo form.
- Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
- Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.
- Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.
- Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.
- Execute Company initiatives and other activities requested by manager.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Provide perspective to projects and enrich the visual storytelling experience.
- Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company.
Bachelor's Degree Related field, and/or equivalent experience preferred.
Professional Experience3+ years of Operating video & editing equipment required.
Experience creating 3D animations preferred.
Experience creating motion graphics preferred.
Previous experience working with executives, senior management, and internal teams preferred.
Skills List- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Skilled in using a gimbal to keep video shots steady and smooth.
- Knows how to adjust the gimbal for different scenes to enhance video footage quality.
- Ability to storyboard.
- Skillful in lighting-set up.
- Great creative eye for visualizing and shooting concepts effectively.
