Substitute Lead Teacher

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Implement effective behavior management strategies
• Build strong student-teacher relationships and create a safe, joyful learning environment
• Execute core best practices aligned with the Impact instructional model
• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans
• Anticipate student responses and potential challenges
• Differentiate instruction as needed to ensure student success
• Model Impact core values and adhere to campus norms
• Foster belonging for all students and work to disrupt inequity in the classroom and school environment
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and other educators
• Engage in ongoing professional development
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Report to the Building Principal or their designee

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in education/related field
• Must have or be eligible for certification by OSPI with an endorsement in Elementary Education (within 1-month of employment required)
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a food handler certification
• Must be able to obtain then provide an academic transcript if hired
• Offer is contingent upon passing a fingerprint and background check
• Complete Safe Schools trainings
• Preferred: 1+ years experience delivering rigorous and engaging instruction in a K-12 setting
• Preferred:
  Substitute Teaching certification
• Ability to perform the stated physical demands, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, lifting and carrying
• In-person availability for a part-time school-year position

Demonstrates expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive lesson plans while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere. Strong ability to build student-teacher relationships and differentiate instruction to ensure student success.
