About the Role & Your Impact

As a Non-Destructive Test Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of aircraft in service. Supporting the In‑Service NDT team for Commercial Airplanes, you’ll contribute to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance across global aviation programs. Your work will directly influence operational safety, customer confidence, and innovation in aerospace.

Location: Tukwila

Job Type: Full‑Time; 12‑Month Consultant

Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Pay Rate Starting at: $47.52 per hour

This is a non‑managerial, non‑leadership role requiring regular and predictable attendance.

What You’ll Do
  • Authoring and maintaining Non‑Destructive Test (NDT) procedures
  • Incorporating revisions provided by Responsible Level III method experts
  • Developing Computer‑Assisted Drawings (CAD) for specialized calibration standards
  • Setting up and calibrating non‑destructive testing and measurement equipment
  • Creating detailed procedure figures outlining inspection locations, geometry, and accessibility
  • Defining probe/transducer placement and signal response expectations
  • Monitoring and reporting potential adverse trends or anomalous inspection results
  • Supporting continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to enhance safety and reliability
Required Qualifications
  • 1+ years of education or experience in Non‑Destructive Inspection (NDI) or Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work variable shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends as needed
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 800+ hours of Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • 300+ hours of Ultrasonic Shear‑Wave Testing
  • 800+ hours of Eddy Current Testing (ET)
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Experience writing UT and ET techniques and inspection procedures
  • Advanced education such as an Associate degree or higher
