• Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in thin film development and fabrication, optics design, material selection, analysis, testing, and system‑level EO/IR modeling and simulation.
• Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals.
• Acquires resources (staffing), provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
• Manages, develops and motivates employees.

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry with 9+ years of related work experience, or 7+ years with a Master’s degree, or 4+ years with a Ph.D.
• Minimum one year of leadership experience (team lead, manager, or program management).
• Experience performing analysis on EO/IR systems.
• Preferred qualifications include:
  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
  • Active U.S. Top Secret clearance with SCI access.
  • Experience leading a team of EO/IR engineers (manager or technical lead).
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience with thin film development, fabrication, optics design, testing, and EO/IR modeling and simulation.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Staffing (hiring or allocating personnel) experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with integration, lab testing, and troubleshooting.
