Mechanical & Structural Engineering Manager; K Level

Position Overview

Mechanical & Structural Engineering Manager (K Level) leading Structures Design team on the P-8 program in Tukwila, WA.

• Ensure safety and quality in all activities.
• Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in Mechanical & Structural Engineering.
• Lead development of engineering solutions for current and future projects.
• Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals.
• Acquire resources, provide technical management, and lead process improvements.
• Maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.
• Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
• Manage, develop, and motivate employees.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a leadership role (or completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”).
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil).
• 5+ years of experience in Aerospace Industry working in Structural Design or Analysis.

• 3+ years of experience leading teams on aerospace structural design and/or analysis.
• Knowledge of Boeing products and processes.
• Proven ability in team building, coaching, and employee development.
• Technical background to guide and mentor the team.

100% onsite in Tukwila, WA. 1st shift.

Position requires obtaining a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
