Operations Manager
Overview
The Boeing Company’s Defense, Space & Security (BDS) division is seeking an experienced Supply Base Management Specialist for our team in Tukwila, Washington.
This role focuses on Supplier Performance Statement of Work (SOW) for aircraft wiring, managing supplier requirements, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and driving continuous improvement across the wiring supply base. The position offers leadership opportunities within the team.
Position Responsibilities- Lead supplier/subcontractor business relationships, in‑service requirements, and performance to contractual obligations and expectations.
- Manage and monitor supplier quality, delivery, and financial performance.
- Develop and implement mitigation plans to avoid risk and resolve issues impacting customers and programs.
- Develop and implement supplier base plans to support customer, program, and commodity strategies.
- Analyze supplier and business processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and incorporate them into contracting strategies.
- Act as primary point of contact for suppliers, customers, and programs.
This position is 100% onsite at one of the listed location options and is for 1st shift.
Applicants must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements as a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15.
Basic Qualifications- More than 10 years of experience with Supplier Management or Procurement practices and processes.
- More than 10 years of experience negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance.
- More than 10 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.
- More than 10 years of experience working in a multi‑functional team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- More than 10 years of experience creating, interpreting, and enforcing technical requirements.
- More than 10 years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action.
- More than 5 years of experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts.
- Pay range: $130,050 – $160,650 (based on experience and qualifications).

- Travel may be required up to 20% of the time.
