Position Summary:AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Tukwila, WA that is a leading global aerospace company and top U.S. exporter, Boeing develops, manufactures and services commercial airplanes, defense products and space systems for customers in more than 150 countries.
Essential Function:- Develops NDE procedures in support of airline customer maintenance inspections
- Designs NDE reference standards in support of inspection procedures
- Develops engineering specifications and other documents to meet customer needs
- Assists in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs
- Assists with development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements
- Performs routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
- Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements
- Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 1+ years of engineering experience
Skills:
- Experience with CAD systems such as CATIA, Solidworks
- Experience with NDI systems: ultrasonics, eddy current
- Experience in aviation and/or aerospace
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent skills with various computing systems
- Excellent documentation and technical writing skills
- Excellent time management skills to manage several simultaneous projects effectively and across various geographical locations
- Knowledge of materials science with metals and/or composites
