RCS Special Technology Engineering Manager (Level K)
The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a RCS (Radar Cross Section), Special Technology Engineering Manager (Level K) located in Tukwila, WA.
This role involves managing a team of highly skilled engineers and technicians in RCS design, analysis, and testing for material development and low-observable platforms. The manager will develop and execute engineering and process plans, oversee technical projects, and coordinate with stakeholders across the organization.
Position Responsibilities- Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in RF and RCS system development.
- Lead computational electromagnetic modeling for RCS design & testing of materials, components, systems, and platforms.
- Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals.
- Acquire resources for projects, including staffing, and manage technical relationships with suppliers.
- Maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
- Manage, develop and motivate employees.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
- 9+ years of related experience (or 7+ years with a master’s, 4+ years with a Ph.D.).
- At least one year of experience in a leadership role or completion of the Boeing internal “Exploring Leadership” course.
- Experience with RF systems or coursework in RF theory.
- U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance (interim or final post‑start) required.
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
- Previous experience leading a team of RCS engineers, including hiring or allocating personnel.
- Experience in RCS technologies, RF advanced mission systems, modeling and simulation.
- Project management experience and cross‑functional team leadership.
- Hands‑on experience with integration, lab testing, and troubleshooting.
Location: Tukwila, WA – 100% onsite.
Security: Ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance required.
