The Boeing Company is seeking an Aerodynamic Test Capability Design Manager to join our Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team in Tukwila, WA.
Position OverviewThis role manages teams in the Aero Test capability within BT&E. The Aerodynamic Test organization conducts testing at numerous wind tunnels, designs test hardware, and develops methods for test measurements, flow visualization, and data reporting.
Responsibilities- Manages employees performing engineering design and technical activities in the areas of Test and Evaluation Engineering
- Develops and executes project and process plans for design and fabrication of wind tunnel models and associated hardware, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees
- Export Control compliance:
Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) - Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent directly related to the work statement
- At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, manager, large-scale cross‑functional project or program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership"
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required) – an active clearance in the past 24 months is considered active
- 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams
- Experience with aerodynamics and/or experimental hardware design
- Experience in Test and Evaluation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing and presenting presentations to executive leadership
- Position is 100% onsite in Tukwila, WA

- Pay ranges from $151,300 to $204,700, based on experience and qualifications
