- Provide expert support for the troubleshooting and resolution of mission systems issues for the P-8 aircraft, focusing on avionics and electrical systems. Systems include, but are not limited to, electrical/electronic, communication & navigation, flight control & avionics systems, mission systems, landing gear, APU, hydraulic, fuel, environmental, and engine systems.
- Effectively troubleshoot and resolve difficult, intermittent, chronic, or complex system problems consistent with operational protocols through the P-8 aircraft lifecycle.
- Work under minimal direction to support US Navy customers with troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve mission system faults for in‑service P-8 fleet.
- Augment standard troubleshooting and repair technologies with innovative approaches.
- Document troubleshooting and repair solutions and supporting data in both Boeing internal and US Navy customer computing systems as applicable.
- Lead enhancements, improvements, and revisions to P-8 fleet command media; support updates to operational procedures and documentation relevant to P-8 in‑service fleet to drive engineering disposition process efficiencies and mitigate recurrent or repeat technical issues.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and represent P-8 fleet, advocating for customer priorities at internal Boeing meetings.
- Coordinate and communicate with P-8 engineering personnel in Boeing Global Services (BGS), Boeing Defense and Space (BDS), and Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) at all levels.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non‑US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
- 10+ years of full‑time aerospace industry experience within Avionics and/or Electrical Systems.
- Experience with P-8 (or similar systems) fleet support or aircraft system design.
- Experience working in a cross‑functional environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, flight operations, and airworthiness requirements.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Experience with maritime surveillance systems.
- Experience working on P‑8 Increment 3 Block 2 (I3B2) or similar modification programs.
- Familiarity with technical aspects of the P‑8 aircraft and its mission systems.
- Experience with P‑8 Mission Systems, Flight Testing System Support, Production Support, or Fleet Support.
- Experience working commercial derivative aircraft (CDA) avionics systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing aircraft electrical, electronic, and avionics systems.
- Experience directly supporting customers at customer facilities with minimal oversight.
- Experience with aircraft systems and/or mechanical systems troubleshooting.
- Experience analyzing aircraft data from various onboard recording systems.
- Familiarity with airplane flight manuals, aircraft maintenance manuals, fault isolation manuals, fault reporting manuals, power plant buildup manuals, wiring diagram manuals, and/or system schematic manuals.
- Active US clearance.
- Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process required.

Summary pay range: $146,200 – $197,800.
