Lead Radar System Engineer

The Boeing Company, Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) Organization, Tukwila, WA.

• Develops and validates requirements for communication, sensor, electronic warfare, and other electromagnetic systems and components.
• Develops and validates electromagnetic requirements for electrical/electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects, and structures.
• Develops architectures to integrate complex systems and components into higher level systems and platforms.
• Performs trade studies, modeling, simulation, and other analysis to predict component, interconnect, and system performance and optimize design.
• Defines and conducts critical tests to validate performance of designs.
• Manages critical supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Provides support to products throughout lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use, resolving complex issues.
• Supports project management by coordinating work statement, budget, schedule, and conducting reviews.
• Generates major sections of proposals to support new business development.
• Works under minimal direction.

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in avionics integration and/or electronics systems and/or RF systems.
• 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions.

• Experience as an equipment manager for military or civil aerospace electronics/avionics systems including qualification and testing.
• Experience with Radar systems (RF or Electro-optical) or Radar integration.
• Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience dealing directly with U.S. Government and DoD customers and regulators.
• Experience eliciting, writing, managing, and verifying requirements.
• Experience working with suppliers and internal/external customers.
• Strong collaboration and coordination skills.

The position is expected to be 100% onsite in Tukwila, WA.
