MP&P Engineer 2 - NDE/Measurement systems
Work Location:
Tukwila, WA
Shifts:
1st shift
Time/Time Zone: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Job Description:The Nondestructive Testing Customer Support and Emerging Technology team provides certification and qualification services across the value stream for NDE.
Position Responsibilities:- Develops NDE procedures in support of airline customer maintenance inspections
- Designs NDE reference standards in support of inspection procedures
- Develops engineering specifications and other documents to meet customer needs
- Assists in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs
- Assists with development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements
- Performs routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
- Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements
- Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas
- Bachelor, Master Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 3+ years of engineering experience.
- Experience with NDI systems: ultrasonics, eddy current, radiography
Skills:
- Experience with CAD systems such as CATIA, Solidworks
- Experience with NDI systems: ultrasonics, eddy current, radiography
- Experience in aviation and/or aerospace
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
