Develops NDE procedures in support of airline customer maintenance inspections.
Designs NDE reference standards in support of inspection procedures.
Develops engineering specifications and other documents to meet customer needs.
Assists in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.
Assists with development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements.
Performs routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements.
Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements.
Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into materials and processes, research, design and qualification, work procedures, and labs and office areas.
Supports commercial and defense aircraft programs including 737, 747, 767, 777, 787, KC-46, and B-1B.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Bachelor or Master of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics.
10+ years of engineering experience.
Preferred: 5+ years of aerospace engineering experience.
Preferred: 5+ years of NDT experience.
Preferred:
Experience with CAD systems such as CATIA and Solidworks.Preferred:
Experience with NDI systems including ultrasonics, eddy current, and radiography.Preferred:
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.Preferred:
Excellent skills with various computing systems.Preferred:
Knowledge of materials science with metals and composites.
