Vice President of Finance
KCHA seeks a dynamic and forward‑thinking financial professional with strong experience to lead the agency's Finance team while leveraging technology and enhancing financial processes to serve staff, residents, and the greater King County community. Being both skilled and outcomes driven will be key for the ideal candidate's ability to serve our community and support our employees.
The Vice President (VP) will report to KCHA's Executive Vice President of Administration/Chief Administrative Officer (EVP).
- Accountable for the efficiency and effectiveness of all Finance department operations and services.
- Develop goals and objectives and track progress.
- Closely monitor agency-wide fiscal soundness.
- Supervise four direct reports in a department with 29 FTEs.
- Assure compliance with government regulations.
- Ensure financial integrity while fostering a supportive environment that drives progress and operational excellence across the organization.
- Professional leader with excellent reputation and character, demonstrated career success within finance and accounting.
- Background in accounting and finance principles and practices including understanding of laws, rules and regulations, policies and procedures related to financial management/controls, cost and fixed accounting, auditing, Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP), investment and management of public funds.
- Experience with finance and accounting at executive level.
