LAB MANAGER

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, performance and internal equity.

• Hands on experience with cabling, power distribution, rack mounting and other data center operations
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose systems and technical issues
• Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems
• Installing and configuring Windows, Ubuntu and CentOS operating systems ISO VHD using WDSSCCM PXE server and USB
• Setup and maintenance of a small cluster of virtual machine hosts hosting 100 virtual machines
• Manage lab as needed and maintain area in accordance with safety standards
• Manage and maintain test hardware test racks and test equipment in the lab
• Should be capable to lift servers or hardware up to 2,530 lbs
• Coordinate with logistics for packing and shipping SKUs to manufacturer
• Support lab shipping and receiving logistics and manage inventory of equipment and materials
• Good communication with customers and internal teams
• Good to have Power Shell scripting skills
• Designing and implementing new network solutions or improving the efficiency of current networks
• Procuring network equipment and managing network installation
• Installing, maintaining and supporting network equipment including VPN, firewalls, routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, SCCM PXE, DNS and DHCP
• Configuring firewalls, routers and switches to maximize network efficiency and security
• Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
• Arranging scheduled upgrades
• Investigating faults in the network
• Updating network equipment such as CISCO, Arista, Dell to the latest firmware releases
• Reporting network status to key stakeholders
• Implementing disaster recovery procedures

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and job level and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Depending on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be provided as part of overall compensation such as annual performance-based bonus, sales incentive pay and other variable compensation.
