What We Are Looking ForPivotal Consulting is seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Agile Practitioner to support a Seattle‑area credit union in advancing its Agile maturity and delivering high‑impact digital and operational initiatives. This consultant will work closely with cross‑functional teams, product owners, and leadership to foster a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and value delivery.
What You Will Do- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure alignment with Agile principles.
- Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile frameworks, primarily Scrum, with flexibility to apply Kanban or hybrid approaches where appropriate.
- Partner with Product Owners to maintain healthy backlogs, clear prioritization, and well‑defined user stories.
- Identify and remove impediments to team progress, escalating when necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement through metrics, retrospectives, and team coaching.
- Promote collaboration across business and technology teams, especially within regulated financial services environments.
- Support Agile transformation efforts, including training, workshops, and stakeholder alignment.
- Track and communicate team performance using Agile metrics such as velocity, cycle time, and burn‑down charts.
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe or similar).
- Experience working in financial services, banking, or credit unions preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to coach teams and influence without authority.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record of improving team delivery and Agile maturity.
- Scrum certifications (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
- Experience in consulting environments or client‑facing roles.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in financial institutions.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Azure Dev Ops, or similar.
The pay range for this position in Washington is $50–$65/hr w2 plus benefits; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience.
