Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Multi-Family Manager (Level K) to join our dynamic team in Tukwila, Washington or Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
.
Manage, lead and grow a team of 15 Air Vehicle E-7 Supplier Performance employees. The team consists of Supplier Program Managers and Supply Base Managers with personnel located in Oklahoma City, Seattle, and virtual. The ideal candidate will have the ability to motivate and lead this team to ensure system design and development, part build and delivery, as well as product sustainment for the supply base associated with the E-7 platform.
There will also be a heavy need for understanding emergent support of an aircraft production facility. Setting the right expectations and building the optimal team are the basic needs to make this position successful.
- Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
- Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”
- More than 5 years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
- More than 5 years of experience negotiating and executing contracts with suppliers
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Experience executing against contract terms and conditions
- Experience with contracts with the US Department of Defense
