Repair Station Mechanic at Boeing Tukwila, WA

Position Title

Experienced Repair Station Mechanic – Boeing Global Services (BGS), Sea Tac, WA.

• Work with engineering to develop and redesign parts and assemblies from raw materials.
• Perform composite and metal bond repairs per Production Specifications and Post‑Production Engineering Data.
• Use engineering drawings, Service Bulletins, PSDS process specifications, repair drawings, wiring diagrams, vendor manuals, planning orders and verbal instructions to accomplish rework/repair.
• Ensure changes conform to FAA PC 700 and FAR 145 standards when procedures and specifications are not clearly defined.
• Disassemble components/assemblies to access the area to be repaired or reworked.
• Order tools, parts and raw materials needed for rework/repair.
• Fabricate detail parts from raw stock to meet repair or modification requirements.
• Perform operations such as wiring, painting, sealing, drilling, reaming, riveting, etc. to accomplish repair/rework.
• Prepare, assemble and install tubing, standoffs, valves, regulators, compressors and ducts using fasteners.
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify rework/repair meets specifications.
• Install, remove, replace or re‑route wires, wire bundles and electrical assemblies.
• Perform functional tests on assemblies.
• Install pre‑assembled plumbing systems such as hydraulic modules and environmental systems.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in an approved manner.
• Perform all tasks while meeting lifting, reaching, stooping and crouching physical demands of the job.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lb.
• 2+ years performing aircraft structural and mechanical work.
• 2+ years experience working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures.

• Experience working with or repairing carbon fiber composites.
• A&P License or 8610 form (if prior military).

This is a union represented role.

• Base pay range: $31.32/hr – $59.47/hr.
