Job Description
Report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. Your responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing informed consent, educating donors about AIDS, and reviewing medical history and acceptance requirements.
Conduct physical examinations, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE) results. Evaluate donor reactions at the facility and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including coordinating donor transport to emergency care.
Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when necessary to provide findings to donors or address medical and technical issues related to donor safety and eligibility.
Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable and manage employee incidents, determining further evaluation by occupational health or ER as required.
Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats in the local community.
Qualifications- High school diploma or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Current state licensure or certification in RN, NP, or PA.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- State‑mandated training for basic IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Hourly Wage Range$44.00 – $60.50 per hour. The actual wage offered will depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and the employee’s location.
