MP&P Technical Analyst 3 – Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Specialist
Location: Tukwila, WA (100% Onsite)
Position Type: Contract (12 Months)
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | Overtime possible
Pay Rate Range: $48/hr. on W2
Position OverviewSeeking an MP&P Technical Analyst 3 / NDT Specialist to join the In-Service NDT team in Tukwila, WA. In this role, you will author inspection procedures, create technical CAD drawings, set up non-destructive test equipment, and support quality and safety initiatives for commercial aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Procedure Authoring: Write Non-Destructive Test (NDT) procedures and incorporate revisions authored by the Responsible Level III following standard procedure review processes.
- Technical Documentation & Drafting: Develop Computer-Assisted Drawings (CAD) for specialized calibration standards and compose procedure figures detailing inspection locations, geometry, probe/transducer placement, and notch signal responses.
- Equipment Calibration: Perform setup for NDT and measurement equipment according to strict calibration standards.
- Quality Reporting: Monitor, identify, and report potential adverse trends or anomalous inspection results.
- Education & Experience: Associate degree (AA) in a related discipline with 3+ years of related experience, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum 1+ year of direct NDI/NDT experience).
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Physical & Environmental: Ability to work in confined spaces, work variable shifts/overtime/occasional weekends as needed, and travel domestically up to 15%.
- 3+ years of direct NDT work experience.
- Logged
Hours: - 800+ hours of Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- 300+ hours of Ultrasonic Shear-Wave Testing
- 800+ hours of Eddy Current Testing (ET)
- Hands-on experience developing UT & ET techniques and writing inspection procedures.
