Heavy Equipment Operator​/Laborer

Segale Properties, a mid-sized commercial real estate company, is hiring a full-time
Heavy Equipment Operator & Laborer
to join our team! This is a full-time, year-round position.

• General laborer work (grade checking and scaling, shoveling, and similar)
• Operating various heavy equipment (loader, excavator, backhoe, dozer, grader, and similar) and occasional CDL driving
• Assist in training others with equipment operation and safety
• Work in Othello, WA 3-5 weeks per year (travel at Segale’s expense, completed during the workweek)
• Other related duties as assigned

• Demonstrates good judgement, organization, and commitment to safety

• Demonstrated understanding of grades and elevations
• Able to perform physically demanding daily work outside, including lifting up to 60 pounds, bending, turning, sitting, standing, and other required movement without limitations
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License with a safe driving record
• Proven punctual and reliable attendance to work and to worksites throughout the day.

Segale Properties is an alcohol and drug free workplace. Employment is dependent upon strong professional references, successful background and driving record check, and preemployment drug screen.

• Based out of our Tukwila, WA, office
• Work completed in Othello, WA 3-5 weeks per year (expenses paid by Segale and limited to the workweek)
• Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM), with occasional overtime

• $27-$35/hour depending on qualifications and experience. Pay will reflect candidate’s experience with heavy equipment operation and CDL.
• 100% paid employee medical/vision and dental insurance. 50% paid family coverage.
• After one year of service, employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) and receive a matching contribution equal to 100% of the first 4% of pay contributed.
• Washington State Paid Sick Leave, 7 days of vacation, 7 paid holidays, and Winter Break (Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day). Vacation is prorated in the year hired and increases with tenure.
