About the Role

Valentine Roofing is looking for an experienced Roofing Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll work directly in the field diagnosing leaks, completing warranty and service repairs, and representing our company in customers' homes. This is a great fit for a roofer who takes pride in getting the diagnosis right the first time, communicates clearly with homeowners, and can manage a full day of repair calls in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

As a Roofing Repair Technician, you'll be a key face of our company on every job, protecting customer property, keeping a clean work area, and documenting your work thoroughly so both the customer and our team have a clear record of what was done.

What You'll Do
  • Roof Repair & Service - Diagnose and complete residential roofing repairs, including leak investigations, leak stops, and warranty-related service work. Repair or replace components such as shingles, flashing, vents, pipe boots, and underlayment within the approved scope of work. Identify conditions that could contribute to leaks, ventilation issues, or premature roof failure, and communicate findings to the right team member. Complete all repairs to company standards and manufacturer specifications, and leave every work area clean and secure.
  • Scheduling & Production - Manage a daily schedule of repair and service appointments, coordinating with the Project Manager, Warranty Coordinator, and customers to keep things moving. Stay flexible as schedules shift due to weather, emergency repairs, or production priorities. This is a Monday–Friday role, with occasional weekend work depending on business needs and repair volume.
  • Customer Experience - Communicate professionally with homeowners before, during, and after the repair. Explain your findings and completed work clearly, without making commitments outside the approved scope. Protect customer property throughout the job and elevate any additional requests or concerns to the appropriate manager.
  • Documentation & Communication - Take clear before, during, and after photos of every repair. Document findings, materials used, completed work, and any follow-up recommendations in our company systems. Notify management promptly if you find additional damage, scope changes, or unexpected conditions.
  • Safety & Equipment - Follow company safety policy, OSHA and L&I requirements, and roofing best practices at all times. Use fall protection, ladders, and hand/power tools properly. Keep your company vehicle, tools, and equipment clean and in safe working condition, and stop or elevate work when you spot an unsafe condition.
  • Additional Responsibilities - Support emergency service, warranty work, and inspections as needed. Pick up or coordinate materials for your assigned repairs, and lend a hand to other field and production team members when volume calls for it.
What Success Looks Like

You’ll know you're succeeding in this role when repairs are done right the first time, your schedule runs smoothly, your documentation is complete and submitted on time, and callbacks are rare. Customers feel taken care of, your team can count on you, and your tools and vehicle are always ready for the next job.

What We're Looking For
  • Roofing repair and installation experience required
  • Working knowledge of asphalt, flat, and metal roofing systems, flashing, ventilation, and common leak sources
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage your time, and handle multiple service calls in a high‑volume environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to safely work at heights, climb ladders, lift roofing materials, and work in varying weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Comfort using mobile technology, CRM systems, and photo documentation tools
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required
