This position may be based in our Burien office, a shared site with the Latino Civic Alliance building, or at the Tukwila site serving South King County. The Burien site serves many families who are Spanish‑speaking only.

What We Offer
  • Starting Pay Range: $25.18 – $27.07 per hour
  • Additional Pay for
    :
    • Coverage after hours: $75.00 per pay period (twice per month)
    • Bi‑lingual fluency in Spanish and English: $100‑200 per pay period (twice per month), tiered based on proficiency and needs
    • Performance‑based additional pay
Training and Supervision
  • Daily and weekly supervision with your Clinical Supervisor

Responsibilities

Peer Counselors (Youth Partners) are individuals with personal history as a youth/child who received behavioral health, child welfare, complex medical, or juvenile justice services and use that experience to build support with families. Youth Partners collaborate, provide support, and help facilitate services for youth and their families receiving Family Behavioral Health Services. They work as a member of a team, help a youth voice their perspective, and help team members understand and incorporate that perspective into treatment planning.

They assist youth, parents, and families in building confidence and achieving a recovery journey, maintaining hope for success after formal behavioral health services are completed.

The position is based out of the FBH Tukwila/ Burien office, requiring flexible scheduling to meet the needs of youth and families. Services are provided in community‑based settings and in family homes.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Age 21 or older
  • Personal (lived) experience as a child who received community or mental health services within the past ten years
  • Spanish‑English bilingual fluency (for Burien staff serving Latino/Latinx families)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrates culturally competent attitudes, knowledge, and skills for multi‑cultural settings
  • Preference for a flexible schedule over a traditional fixed 8‑5, Monday‑through‑Friday, facility‑based position
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, automobile insurance, and current auto registration
  • Acceptable driving record per CCS driving policy (must provide current driving abstract)
  • Background clearance required prior to employment offer
