A Software Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Tukwila, WA, Mesa, AZ, or St. Charles, MO. This is a full-time, direct job with full benefits including eligible for overtime pay. The selected candidate will have an active security clearance and have experience working software activities, either development or verification, and have an Engineering or Computer Science degree. If selected, you would be helping with our vision to be the most trusted partner in delivering software solutions that foster innovation with lasting impact.

JOB DUTIES:

* Design, develop, and maintain applications using C++ or Ada

* Execute software development activities according to the software development plan

* Develop embedded software solutions based on software requirements

* Develop and execute unit testing to verify proper implementation of low-level requirements

* Develop and execute software integration test cases to verify software high-level requirements

* Generate software documentation according to standards

* Perform required software configuration management activities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must hold an active U.S. secret level clearance

* 2+ years of professional experience in software development using C, C++, C#, Python, Ada, and/or Java

* Experience developing embedded real-time software.

* Experience with Agile software development.

* Knowledge of version control systems like Git.

* Excellent debugging and testing skills.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to work effectively with other software teams and stakeholders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* 10+ years of C++ or Ada

* Experience working in hybrid or remote development environments.

* Experience developing and maintaining Windows Services.

* Proficient in SQL Server and writing complex SQL queries.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position offers a salary range of $100,000 to $165,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
