Software Quality Engineer; Associate or Experienced

Job Description

Software Quality Engineer (Associate or Experienced) – Join our Software Quality Engineering team in Tukwila, WA, Everett, WA, or Kent, WA. The role will support programs within the BDS Derivatives division, ensuring that industry-standard software development processes are used for developing, controlling, and verifying software products. The position requires 100% onsite presence.

• Defines and maintains program-level software quality engineering processes, resources, and infrastructure
• Actively participates in program activities, from initial proposal and planning to verification/certification and delivery
• Performs process and product audits to verify software lifecycle activities and products comply with approved software processes, plans, and standards
• Supports program milestone and formal review meetings, occasionally preparing and presenting information
• Participates in configuration management activities
• Plans software quality test activities and completes test readiness activities
• Ensures integrity of the test process and verifies test results
• Works with regulatory agencies and other functions to develop criteria and procedures for software delivery activities
• Performs final reconciliation of software data products
• Identifies process or product non-compliances; supports root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions and other defect investigation/prevention activities
• Teams with equipment managers of supplier products to monitor and evaluate supplier software development performance
• Acts as an independent set of eyes and ears for Program Managers and the customer, highlighting potential best practices on the team, as well as areas for improvement
• Supports the identification and analysis of program/project software quality metrics to improve software quality and manage risk

• Bachelor of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or another technical degree
• Ability to acquire a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (Post-Start)
• 1+ years of experience with Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)

• 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1+ years’ experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Experience with products developed using Agile software development practices
• Experience with Dev Sec Ops  and associated tools
• Software quality engineering experience supporting software with AS9115 and DO-178 requirements

Some travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

2): $89,250 - $120,750
Experienced (Level
3): $107,100 - $144,900
