- Ensure the proper and safe operation of shuttle buses and transport passengers efficiently and safely.
- Go above and beyond to deliver an exceptional client and customer experience, answering questions, offering directions, and ensuring each interaction is positive.
- Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
- Remain at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
- Possess a valid state‑issued driver’s license and maintain an acceptable DMV record.
- Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
- Communicate debris, water, oil spills, and other hazards to the garage office.
- Substitute for cashiers or valets when authorized.
- Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways to assist customers.
- Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items, if applicable.
- Assist the Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
- Education/
Experience:
Less than high school education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination. - License:
Valid CDL Class A, B, or C with Passenger Endorsement, maintained per DOT regulations. - DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
- Availability:
Shift requirements may vary; availability for 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required. - Language:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, and present information to customers and employees. - Mathematics:
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and handle American currency. - Appearance:
Maintain a neat, clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times. - Physical Demands:
Regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle equipment; occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. - Salary: $30.00–$34.00/hr.
