Travel nurse opportunity in an emergency department providing triage, treatment, and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting. Key responsibilities include coordinating nursing care, supervising staff, and collaborating with other disciplines.

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Supervises and directs activities of assigned nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines.
• Utilizes critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
• Collects relevant data, analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
• Develops a plan prescribing interventions to attain outcomes, implements the plan, and evaluates progress toward outcomes.
• Collaborates with patient, family, and other healthcare providers to provide patient care in a safe and humane environment.
• Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members.
• Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team.
• Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care.
• Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of California.
• CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS), HS-BLS, or RQIBLS certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), HS-ACLS, or RQIACLS certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), HS-PALS, or RQIPALS certification.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience in acute care and emergency/trauma environment preferred.
• No more than 30 days of gap in entire work history.
• 1 reference within the last 12 months.
• ER SCL and references within a year required.
• RTO upon submission required.
