Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Nurse

Provides specialized nursing care within the Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) departments, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes through skilled interventions and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' cardiovascular condition and relevant medical history prior to procedures.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses during interventions, promptly addressing any adverse events.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, post-care instructions, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, technicians, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
• Document procedures, assessments, and patient responses accurately in medical records.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Have acute care facility experience, preferably in cardiac or cardiovascular units.
• Maintain current certifications including BLS and ACLS from an approved vendor.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking, assessment, and patient education skills.
