Maintenance Technician
Lactalis Heritage Dairy, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Maintenance Technician based in Tulare, CA.
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical devices such as fuses, motors, motor starters, proximity switches, circuit breakers, receptacles and plugs.
Note:
PLC experience is a plus. - Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical devices such as centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, roller conveyors, belt conveyors, palletizers, sanitary and non-sanitary valves, fillers, check weighers, metal detectors, gearboxes, bearings, seals and etc.
- Ability to use electrical equipment such as a volt meter and amp meter to determine electrical malfunctions on fuses, motors, motor starters and switches.
- Use proper tools for aligning sprockets, sheaves and couplings on fans, motor drives, and pumps. Be able to track conveyor belts and align shafts.
- Welding experience with Tig, Mig, Gas or stick.
- Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) standards as outlined in the plant's QRMP accountability document, including the implementation, improvement and ongoing maintenance.
Compensation:
- 8-hour rate $37.30
- 10-hour rate $33.88
- 12-hour rate $32.44
Requirements:
Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
- Must work in a safe, sanitary and productive manner in accordance to LHD GMP's.
- Documented job performance work record and attendance record to be reviewed.
- Specialized training or licenses relevant to the job. Good business participation (eg. Level 1, safety, process improvement).
- Must be able to maintain production line equipment with the ability to operate the equipment in order to identify any problems that may exist
- Must be willing to upgrade skills in areas where skills are not at the required level that includes but is not limited to vocational, college, vendor courses, etc. Train self and others in problem-solving/troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Demonstrated professionalism, one-on-one coaching, leadership, patience, diplomacy, high ethical standards, and a positive, cooperative attitude.
- Maintain basic understanding of safety training of electrical systems and theory 110, 240 and 480v. NFPA training basics.
- Possess basic welding techniques
- Possess Plant Maintenance
- Electrician/Mechanic journeyman certificate or equivalent - Basic operation and repair knowledge of packaging, processing and utility equipment.
