Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer Supervisor, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. As a Network Engineer Supervisor, you will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for design, support and maintenance of Network Systems and Peripherals for the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job Summary
Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) is the team selected by the U.S. Air Force to conduct Test and Operations Sustainment at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee. AEDC operates more than 55 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges and other specialized units located in six states.
AEDC is part of the Air Force Test Center (AFTC) and the Air Force Materiel Command.
AEDC's mission is to conduct developmental test and evaluation for the Nation through modeling, simulation, and ground and flight tests. Execution requires a large team of qualified professionals from multiple technical disciplines.
BNH currently has an opportunity for a Network Engineer Supervisor to join our team at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee.
Job Duties:
- Primary role as the Network Engineer Lead is responsibility for the design, build, and administration of AEDC Test network systems in support of AEDC mission areas.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT staff, managing performance, expectations, and goals.
- Track employee progress toward established goals and provide input to annual performance reviews for group members.
- Interface with test customers (Air Force, civilians and consultants), and other BNH managers and engineers to ensure group objectives are being met.
- Monitor individual assignments and performance (technical, schedule, and cost) on specific tasks, and monitor job hours for project/task reporting to leadership as requested.
- Oversee system performance and the remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Manage vendor relationships:
Coordinate with third-party vendors, and manage contracts related to IT systems and services. - Oversee backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and system resilience.
- Enforce and audit cybersecurity controls, system security baselines, and access controls in compliance with DoD standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and the ISSM to design scalable system improvements and ensure cybersecurity compliance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations and procedures while staying current with emerging technologies.
- It is a condition of employment to wear company issued PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT-related field with at least 8 years of progressively relevant IT experience.
- High School Degree or equivalent with at least 12 years of progressively relevant IT experience.
- Must currently possess or be able to obtain within six months any requisite certifications required for assuming administrative role in accordance with DoD 8140.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network.
- Due to Air Force Security requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA Security+ Certification.
- Active Cisco CCNA, CCNP certification.
- Active Top Secret DoD security clearance.
- Experience working in a DoD environment and familiarity with DoD security requirements.
- Experience designing, building and managing enterprise network architecture.
- Experience with Ruckus, Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Experience with Linux/Windows workstation and server environments, mass storage, networking, boundary firewalls and proxies, routing, HPC, patching, ACAS, VMWare, VDI, RHEL, Active Directory, vulnerability management, and Solar Winds.
- Experience with Forti Gate and Forcepoint firewall administration and security best practices.
- Familiarity with DoD security requirements and STIGs.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in complex multi-platform environments.
- Effective communicator with proven teamwork abilities and technical documentation skills.
- Skilled at building and maintaining personnel and customer relationships.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
