- Tullahoma, TNCanvas is seeking a qualified individual to provide advisory and assistance services to the Air Force in engineering support of program management efforts associated with specific test needs at the Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) at Arnold AFB, TN. The candidate will provide a wide range of services including requirement development and refinement, project procurement support, review of design submittals, as well as providing technical expertise for various projects, planned or underway.
** Duties:
*** Provide technical and engineering support including, but not limited to, the following*:
• Develop technical requirements for capital improvement projects and procurements
• Develop and review Technical Requirement Documents
• Provide mechanical design, systems, and/or operations experience
• Make recommendations for best technical COAs(Course of Action)
* Provide procurement support including, but not limited to, the following:
* • Develop and review mechanical specifications for systems or designs
• Develop and review Statements of Objectives (SOO), Statements of Work (SOW), and other procurement specific documentation.
• Review and Evaluate Procurement Packages for technical soundness
• Develop technical evaluation criteria for proposal evaluation
• Assist in technical evaluation of vendor proposals
• Perform market research and assist in development of Independent Government Estimates
* Provide technical support for the Systems Engineering Process
* • Provide technical expertise in design reviews and the design process in general
• Consolidate and communicate technical information for project team
• Assist in development of project plans, schedules, and estimates
** Requirements:

* Minimum Education:

*** Scientist and Engineer 3-BS in Science or Engineering Field OR substitution as described below
* Scientist and Engineer 4-MS OR substitution as described below
* Subject Mater Expert-exceptional/highly-unique expertise, recognized industry leader in a given area of expertise
*
* Minimum Experience:

*** Scientist and Engineer 3- 3-10 years of experience
* Scientist and Engineer 4- 10+ years of experience
* Subject Matter Expert

** Substitutions:
** A Bachelor’s degree can be substituted for with 6 years of relevant experience OR an Associates degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
And Master’s can be substituted for with 12 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s and 8 years of relevant experience.

** Ability to obtain Secret clearance required for job. May begin work with an interim clearance.
