Senior Optical Diagnostics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of advanced optical diagnostic techniques
• Design and execute complex optical diagnostic techniques in wind tunnels
• Develop, implement, and maintain non‑intrusive optical diagnostics
• Oversee design and development of custom diagnostic tools
• Direct data fusion from multiple diagnostic systems
• Perform in‑depth analysis of complex test data
• Lead and participate in test planning, execution, and reporting
• Foster a culture of open communication and continuous learning

• Master’s in engineering or science discipline
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 5 years in experimental aerodynamics environment
• Extensive hands‑on experience with optical diagnostic techniques
• Proven ability to lead technical teams
• Strong programming skills for data analysis and test automation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
• Ph.D in Aerospace Engineering or related field (preferred)
• Familiarity with additional diagnostic techniques and CFD knowledge (preferred)
