Test Engineer
Torch Technologies is seeking highly skilled Test Engineers to support the 715th Test Squadron (715 TS) at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC). The 715 TS operates world-class aerodynamic and propulsion test facilities, and this role is critical to advancing the nation's hypersonic weapon and flight systems. This position is located onsite at Arnold AFB, TN.
As a Test Engineer, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the 715th Test Squadron at the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) in the planning, execution, and analysis of hypersonic aeropropulsion ground testing.
- Analyzing aerodynamic, thermodynamic, and propulsion data from ground test facilities (such as the Aerodynamic and Propulsion Test Unit - APTU).
- Developing comprehensive test plans, test matrices, and safety packages in coordination with facility engineers and program stakeholders.
- Utilizing data acquisition systems and post-test data reduction tools to evaluate scramjet, ramjet, and other high-speed propulsion system performance.
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Hiring at multiple levels:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a highly related technical field. Additional experience may be substituted for education with customer approval. At least 3 + years of applicable experience.
- Or Associate degree in highly related technical related field with 8 years of experience.
- Or High School diploma with 12 years of experience
- Active Secret/clearance is required
