Collect delinquent accounts and assist with overall delinquency control. Coordinate various aspects of the sale of repossessed collateral cess credit counseling proposals and payments. Collect charged-off loan accounts and assist with overall recovery of funds on charge-off loans and judgment accounts. Responsible for collecting, maintaining and reporting of 1099C charged-off loan accounts.

  • Review daily delinquency queue and follow-up on delinquent accounts by telephone and written correspondence. Contact co-makers, co-borrowers and guarantors.
  • Provide support to front office employees with delinquent and charged-off loans, returned checks, and charged-off share draft account matters, repossessions, share-loss accounts, bankruptcy accounts and levies.
  • Contact members and joint borrowers by telephone and written correspondence to collect charged-off loans and judgment accounts.
  • Process daily returned checks including journal entries, entering data in Access, making copies, preparing worksheet, and deducting funds or reversing payments from members’ account, and mailing letters, as needed.
  • Process Share-Loss accounts weekly. Send letters and convert account to S-Loss.
  • Review and respond to e-mails in a timely fashion. Post payments according to e-mail instruction.
  • Submit accounts for legal action or foreclosure. Upon receipt of judgment, request aliases, garnishments, and executions to be issued by legal department.
  • Process repossession of collateral. Skiptrace to locate collateral.
  • Collect attorney fees and collection expenses.
  • Collect charged-off loans on the annual 1099C report, maintain and collect the accumulative list of 1099C loan accounts and report 1099C, as applicable.
  • Skiptrace, Accurint, The Work Number, and Credit Report.
  • Transfer funds from Week-late Reports.
  • Hotcard ATM and debit cards.
  • Remove lines of credit and request Adverse Action Notices.
  • Update information to the credit bureaus.
  • Post judgment and attorney checks.
  • Post bankruptcy checks and perform account maintenance.
  • Process returned mail. Code accounts as “Bad Address” from returned mail (past due notices) daily. Update addresses applicably.
  • Review monthly PMI Report.
  • Research accounts, as necessary, including bankruptcy, estate claims, and charge-offs.
  • Arrange for sale of repossessed collateral and print and mail Notice of Sale.
  • Process and arrange sale of out of state repossessions.
  • Determine values and opening bids of repossessed collateral.
  • Pay expenses, post proceeds from sale of repossessed collateral, and mail deficiency letters.
