Job Summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems People Soft Developer, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. As a Business Systems People Soft Developer, you will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining or supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Open to internal and external candidates. The selected candidate for this requisition may be required to occasionally work outside normal business hours (e.g., during application upgrades).

Job Duties
  • Provide support in the design, development, sustainment, and support of Government IT Business system/applications including People Soft Financials, Oracle Work Asset Management (OWAM), Oracle Analytics Server, Oracle Access Manager, and JOCAS.
  • Design and modify code, participate in code reviews and develop complex business applications programs.
  • Interface with requirement stakeholders to determine expected application functionality, gather requirements, and suggest technical solutions for business processes.
  • Perform software lifecycle aspects including requirements documentation, application design and design documentation, development, unit testing, and implementation support.
  • Provide Tier 2 end user troubleshooting support for Business Systems through the ticket support system.
  • Support and remediate any critical issues with Business Systems outside of normal assigned shift.
  • Support the use of common work processes and procedures within assigned function across the TOS contract.
  • Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Ensure cybersecurity requirements are consistently documented, maintained, evaluated and compliant for Government IT system networks including components of systems.
  • Periodically evaluate process and program effectiveness and take action to maintain continuous improvement.
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures and contribute to the safety of co-workers and the public.
  • Follow instructions, assist in training of co-workers, and cooperate with other employees, customers and contractors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • BS degree in Computer Engineering, Science, or Information Systems and 2 to 5 years of progressive and relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to adapt to the customer environment and understand business needs.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of the system life cycle and understanding of large-scale system development.
  • Aptitude, adaptability, and ability to learn.
  • Current US Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years in application development for People Soft including People Tools, People Code, Application Engine, and SQR.
  • Experience with Oracle and Oracle SQL.
  • Experience migrating to newer versions of People Soft with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customers and teammates.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies including waterfall and agile.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain personnel and customer relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Obtain and maintain Security+ certification.
  • Active DoD secret security clearance or ability to obtain one.
