Job Title:

Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable/Billing professional. Experience in higher education is a plus!

Responsibilities:

Post payments and refunds to accounts

Handle invoicing, produce statements, and manage financial aid transmittals

Perform journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts

Reconcile credit card transactions

Create spreadsheets and schedules for reporting and month-end close

Assist with monthly endowment and investment journal entries

Work with outside collection agencies to recover past due balances and record transactions in the general ledger

Manage loan accounts and coordinate with outside agencies on reporting and collection of payments

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent education/experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Experience with accounts receivable and/or financial aid in the education industry is a plus
