Join a dynamic team where you will be stepping into an exciting contract role with potential for long-term engagement. This opportunity has arisen due to internal team movements, and the company is looking for a talented Accountant to fill the gap. You'll be working in a collaborative environment, contributing to key financial operations, and showcasing your expertise. This is an open-ended contract with potential for conversion, offering a chance to make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities & Duties- Manage and reconcile financial records accurately
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Collaborate with team members for financial audits
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and filing systems
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience in accounting roles
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in contract accounting roles
- Familiarity with financial regulations in the utility sector
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and macros
